PlayThru (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the PlayThru mobile application and website at playthrugolf.app. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the app.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account or use the app:

• Full name, username, email address, and password
• Hometown and home golf course
• Handicap or average golf score
• Round data including course name, tee time, finish time, group size, transport method, and pace of play answers
• Device information and app usage data collected automatically
• Push notification token for sending alerts

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your PlayThru account
• Calculate and display your POPScore
• Generate leaderboards and course statistics
• Send push notifications about your POPScore, friend activity, and course updates
• Improve the accuracy of course baselines and pace of play data
• Respond to your comments and questions
• Send you product updates and announcements (you may opt out at any time)

3. Information We Share

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

• Publicly visible data: Your username, POPScore, and round history are visible to other PlayThru users on leaderboards and course profiles
• Service providers: We use Supabase for database and authentication services. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@playthrugolf.app. We will respond within 30 days.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission and secure database storage through Supabase. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children’s Privacy

PlayThru is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately at hello@playthrugolf.app.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data

The app uses the following third party services which have their own privacy policies:

• Apple App Store — app distribution (apple.com/legal/privacy)
• Expo — app framework (expo.dev/privacy)

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the effective date above. Your continued use of PlayThru after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
